Itinerary
DAY 01: HUARAZ (3100 M) – CASHAPAMPA - LLAMACORRAL

We leave Huaraz at 7:30am in private transportation heading north, passing though the Callejon de Huaylas. We will pass by traditional towns such as Carhuaz and Yungay, arriving finally in Caraz. From here we will head towards the base camp of Cashapampa (2900m). In Cashapampa our donkeys and rivers will await us to begin the trek towards Llamacorral (3760m). 5 hour hike. Here we will eat dinner and camp.

DAY 02: LLAMACORRAL - TAULLIPAMPA

After breakfast we will head out at 8am to begin our second day. We will pass by Ichic Cocha (small lake) and Hatun cocha (big lake). Here we have impressive views of Alpamayo, Artesonraju, and Aguja mountains. We head downhill until we arrive at Taullipampa (4250m), where we will camp for our second night.

DAY 03: TAULLIPAMPA - PUNTA UNION - QUEBRADA PARIA

At 8am after breakfast we will head out on our third day of trekking, gradualy ascending towards Punta Union pass (4750m), from where we have great views of the mountains such as Taulliraju, Garcilazo Pyramid, and Paria, along with turquois lakes, blue skies, and fresh air. After a short rest we walk 3 ½ hours towards our final campsite in Paria Valley (3870m).

DAY 04: QUEBRADA PARIA - VAQUERIA - CEBOLLAPAMPA

After our last breakfast in camp we head out at 8am for a 2-3 hour hike towards Vaqueria. Our private transportation awaits is here. We will head towards Huaraz, passing Portachualo pass (4780m). This is a great lookout and we will pause here to take in the views of Huascaran, Pisco, and Huandoy mountains. The pass is a great point to observe the famous Llanganuco lakes with their turquoise colors. From here we continue down to Cebollapampa, where we will set up camp and spend the night.

DAY 05: CEBOLLAPAMPA - LAKE 69 - CEBOLLAPAMPA

9am, after breakfast we will head towards Lake 69 (4600m). After a 3 hour hike we arrive at this beautiful turquois lake at the feet of Chacraraju Mountain (6000). In the afternoon we return to our camp in Cebollapampa.

DAY 06: CEBOLLAPAMPA - LAKE LLANGANUCO - HUARAZ

After our last breakfast, we will continue our hike through Llanganuco valley. We will arrive at Lake Orconcocha, where we can observe the large variety of flora and fauna. Finally, we arrive at Lake Chinancocha, a beautiful turquois lake. Here our transportation will await us to return to Huaraz.
